Our Philosophy
Here at CastleGate ALC, we accept and passionately advocate that non-human animals are sentient beings who deserve our protection from suffering, cruelty and exploitation.
Unfortunately, as legal professionals, we also recognise that the law does not always align with our goals, and as such our focus is on making sure that laws are changed to advance animal protection, welfare and rights.
We do this in a number of ways, including: representing the interests of animals in disputes with local Councils or in legal proceedings, in actively making submissions to Government bodies for law reform, and in writing articles and submissions.
